Combined Committees of GIP Triad

Steering Committee (STC)

Duties: Recommend policies for important matters of program management, review, and improvement, etc.

Meeting Frequency: 1-2 / year

Membership (approx 35 members total): including (i) Chairs: Vice Presidents (3)=(1 x 3 Uni.); (ii) Program leaders, Program Sub-leaders (6)=(2 x 3 Uni.); (iii) Sub-committee Heads (21)=(7 x 3 Uni.); (iv) Head of UT GIP Operations on UB, NTU Campuses (2); & (v) Administrative Staff (4-5 x 3 Uni.)

 

Working Committee (WRC)

Duties: Planning for the program as a whole, financial affairs, liaison and coordination for day-to-day issues, etc.

Meeting Frequency: Regularly as necessary

Membership (approx 11 members total):including (i) Program leaders, Program Sub-leaders (6)=(2 x 3 Uni.); (2) Head of UT GIP Operations on UB, NTU Campuses  (2); & (iii)Core Members from the administration (2) (1 x 3 Uni.)

 

Sub-committees (SC)

Duties: Discuss and plan out the following Areas of Responsibility, and based on Program Policy, implement them accordingly as their central role. 

Meeting Frequency: As necessary

Membership: including (i) Sub-committee Heads (21) (7 x 3 Uni.); & (ii) Administrative Staff (3) (1 x 3 Uni.)

Curriculum SC Curriculum design, Procedures for courses and registration, Framework for student mentoring, Preparation of syllabi, etc.
Enrollment Management SC Framework and method for student selection; preparation and operation of enrollment application procedures/entrance exam, etc.
Degree Examination SC

Framework and method for achievement evaluation and degree examination; preparation and operation of related procedures, etc.

Corporate Relations and Career Development SC Development of connections with corporations, etc. for student internships; Liaison and coordination; Operational management; Career advising support; employment support, etc.
PR/Advertising SC

PR/Advertising strategy, Creation and operation of homepage; Creation of printed advertising materials (pamphlets, etc.); Admissions/entrance exam-related PR/Advertising with related university undergraduate departments; other PR activities, etc.

Student Support SC Support of student/campus life, safety management, etc.
Program Review and Evaluation SC Self-review and Evaluation for entire program; Faculty Development (FD) and Staff Development (SD); External Evaluation, etc.
